Hosting customers like
We started because hosting customers were getting squeezed by the incumbents. Renewal hikes, offshore support, premium pricing for commodity tech. Our job is to be the opposite of that.
Building, not extracting
Sustainably profitable, not venture-extractive. We aim to charge a fair price for a fair product and keep growing slowly. No 10x-return pressure means no need to squeeze the customer base.
In writing, not vibes
Promises that affect your bill are in our Terms of Service, not on a marketing slide. Renewal price guarantee in clause 7.5, data export rights in 9.2, notice period in 11.4. You can sue us on them.
Our story
Why we started this.
I'd been hosting clients on various platforms for years. Workspace, WP Engine, Cloudways, GoDaddy, the lot. Each one had a moment where I noticed I was paying more, getting worse service, or fighting with their support to get something basic done.
The honest version is: hosting is a commodity that the big players have figured out how to charge premium prices for. WP Engine sells the same WordPress stack as a $5/month host but charges $1,200/month for it. The margins are absurd, and the customer service quality keeps dropping because customers are sticky.
I figured someone should build the same products at honest prices, with NZ-based support that actually answers, and a commitment to never raise prices on existing customers. That's Kapsule.
We're building this for the long haul. Sustainably profitable, not a venture exit. If a feature isn't ready, we ship it next month, not as a half-baked beta. The values stay the same as we grow: honest pricing, real humans, no offshore tier-1 support, never raising rates on existing customers.
