What a workspace actually is.
Think of it as a second computer that lives in our building and is already set up. The coding tools are on it, your project is on it, and you reach the whole thing through a browser tab from whatever machine you happen to be sitting at.
Close the tab and it goes to sleep. Open it again and the session, the files and the branch are where you left them, because the disk is yours and it stays.

- Do I have to install anything?
- Everything is already installed. The workspace comes up with all eight tools on it and this month's credits already on your balance, in a terminal or a full editor in your browser. It all runs on our hardware, so your own laptop can get on with whatever else you are doing.
- What happens to my work when I stop for the day?
- The machine goes to sleep after thirty idle minutes and your work stays on its disk. When you come back, the session, the files and the branch are where you left them.
- Can it see my hosting account?
- Yes. It reads your live account, so you can ask what is on it and get today's answer in the same breath as the code you are writing.
- Can I use my own API key?
- Yes. Five providers are wired in, and once you add a key the workspace uses it. Your included credits stay on your balance for everything else.
- Which tools need the bigger plan?
- Six of the eight open on every plan, including the smallest. OpenHands and Cline run from Pro upwards, where the extra memory makes them quick.
- What do my credits get me?
- Your credits pay for the work the coding tools do for you, so every change they write and every answer they give you about your own hosting comes out of that balance. Every plan refills it each month, and it starts at 400 credits on the smallest machine. The machine itself is always the flat monthly price, so you can leave it running for as long as you like.
