A first year price is an offer. A renewal is what you actually pay, every year, for as long as you keep the name. The habit in this industry is to advertise the first and print the second in a footnote. Both are in the same row here, on every extension we sell.
- Register, renew and transfer in are one number on every extension in the catalogue.
- The rate you sign up on is the rate you renew on.
- One, two, three or five years at registration, all at the same annual rate.
The price lock is clause 7.5 of the Terms. It is a term of the contract, not a campaign.
Ten years of a .com at today's catalogue price, before any tax that applies where you are. There is no introductory rate, so there is no step up.

The catalogue carries 1,989 extensions and every one of them was priced in your currency before this page reached you. Type a few letters and the answer is already on the machine.
A small number of extensions are premium. We confirm the price with you before registering one of those, rather than charging first and explaining afterwards.
What comes with the name
- WHOIS privacy, free
- On by default, at no charge, on every extension whose registry allows it. Some country registries do not offer privacy at all and .nz is one of them, so we say so rather than take money for something we cannot deliver.
- Authoritative DNS and a record editor
- Eight record types across four nameservers, delegated through two different parent domains so an incident at one registry cannot take all four dark.
- Registrar lock and DNSSEC, on
- Both are turned on automatically on every domain we manage for you. Registries with no lock concept are exempt, and .nz is one of those.
- Auto renew, on
- On by default, at the rate you registered on. You can turn it off in the panel.
- Expiry reminders at 60, 30 and 7 days
- Three emails before a name lapses, each sent once.
- The door out is as wide as the door in
- We never withhold an auth code and there is no fee to release a domain to another registrar.
