How long it actually takes

Two of these four steps are not ours and cannot be hurried. We say which.

  4. It lands hereOn completionYou get a confirmation email and the domain appears in your panel.

What the transfer fee buys

A year, added on
A transfer adds one year to your existing expiry rather than replacing it. You do not lose the time you already paid for.
Your records, carried over
We read your zone off your current nameservers at the moment you start, show you what we found, and recreate it here. Anything we could not see, we tell you about rather than dropping quietly.
Nothing goes dark
Your current DNS keeps serving until the move completes. Your site and your mail stay up throughout.
Locked and signed on arrival
Registrar lock and DNSSEC are turned on automatically once the domain is here, and auto renew is on at the rate you transferred in on.
And the way out
We never withhold an auth code and there is no fee to leave. The door out is as wide as the door in.
