Getting Started

Getting Started With Kapsule Agents

This walkthrough takes you from opening Agents for the first time to a finished piece of work, covering the welcome questions, picking the right expert, the chat surface, and what happens when your credits run low.

Before You Start

You need nothing beyond a KPanel account. Agents does not require a site, a domain, or a particular hosting plan, and every account role can open it.

Agents lives in the main KPanel sidebar as Agents, between Apps and the server sections. The direct address is /agents.

Step 1: The Welcome Screen

The first time you open Agents, the page offers a short welcome card. Click Tell us about your business to open it, or go straight to /agents/welcome.

The welcome is one calm screen, not a form to grind through:

  1. It states plainly that you are talking to AI assistants, and that nothing changes on your account without your confirmation.
  2. It shows the seven experts on your team.
  3. It asks three optional questions.

The three questions are:

  • What is your business called?
  • What do you do or sell? (for example: coffee roastery, wedding photography)
  • How should your team sound? Warm and friendly, Polished and professional, Bold and direct, or Playful.

Click Save and Meet the Team, or Skip for now. Skipping still counts the welcome as seen, so you will not be asked again.

Answer the three questions even roughly. They feed every draft the writing, marketing, comms and sales experts produce, so a two-word industry answer noticeably changes the output. You can change them at any time by opening the welcome screen again.

Step 2: Pick the Right Expert

The Agents home page lists the team, each with a role and a one-line description of what they are for. Reading them takes ten seconds and saves a wasted conversation:

  • Pricing, planning and second opinions: Mara
  • Website copy, blog posts, newsletters: Thea
  • Keywords, on-page fixes, site audits: Sef
  • Campaigns, calendars, launch plans: Mila
  • Replies to customers and reviews: Cora
  • Cold outreach, scripts, proposals, quotes: Ash
  • Privacy policies, terms, returns policies: Pip

Click Start a Chat on the expert you want. That creates a conversation and drops you into it.

Starting a conversation with an expert in Kapsule Agents

Step 3: The Chat Surface

An empty conversation shows the expert's name, a prompt to ask anything, and three suggested starting questions specific to that expert. Clicking one sends it, which is the fastest way to see what an expert is actually good at.

The composer at the bottom shows a running hint of what a reply costs, for example About 2 credits per reply. The header shows a credit arc: your remaining balance out of your total, and clicking it opens the Credits page.

While the expert works, you see [name] is thinking, and short status lines when it reads something on your account: Checking your account, Reading your live site, Checking your DNS, Checking your plan. Every finished reply is stamped with the credits it used.

Step 4: When an Expert Wants to Change Something

Most conversations never reach this point, because most of the team only writes and plans. Two experts can propose a DNS record and two can propose a mailbox.

When that happens, the reply stops and a Review this action card appears, showing exactly what will change and how many credits it uses. You choose:

  • Confirm to run it.
  • Cancel to dismiss it. Nothing happens.

If you are on a device the account has not seen before, confirming asks you to verify with a code sent to your email before it proceeds. If the action fails, the card says so and confirms that nothing was changed, with a Try Again button.

An expert will never tell you a change is done before you confirm it. If a draft reply claims a record was added and you never tapped Confirm, treat the claim as wrong and check the real state in DNS Basics or on the mailbox itself.

Step 5: Come Back to It Later

Every conversation is saved. The Recent conversations card on the Agents home page lists the five most recent with a Resume button and a relative timestamp. Resuming restores the whole thread, including a confirmation card you left unanswered.

Using a Skill Instead

If you want a finished document rather than a conversation, open Skills from the Agents home page. A skill asks two or three plain questions, shows you the brief it built, and then produces the result. It is the better path for a landing page, a privacy policy, a product description set, or a keyword list. See Using Agent Skills.

What If It Fails

"You are out of credits." The conversation pauses rather than degrading. Open the Credits page from the arc in the header. Your thread is untouched and picks up exactly where it stopped. See How Agent Credits Work.

"Your team is warming up." A transient engine problem. Wait a moment and send the message again.

"Something interrupted that reply." Your message is safe and was not lost. Send it again.

The Start a Chat button spins and then stops. The thread could not be created. Reload the page and try once more. If it keeps happening, open a support ticket and include the expert you were trying to reach.

An expert says it does not know something about your account. That is the guardrail working: account facts come from tools only, and an expert with no tool for that question is instructed to say so rather than guess.
