Support
Pro Services
Pro Services lets you hand a specific job to the engineers who run your hosting: migrations, WordPress work, DNS surgery, SEO, security audits and custom development, each priced before work begins and closed only when you sign it off.
What Pro Services Is
Every hosting company has a support queue. Pro Services is the other thing: a catalogue of defined engagements you can order, done by the same team that operates the platform your site sits on.
Three properties define it, and they are stated on the page itself:
- Quoted up front. A fixed price, agreed before any work begins.
- Done by our engineers. The team that runs your hosting does the work.
- Signed off by you. Nothing closes until you confirm the result.
Pro Services is at Store, then Services and programs, then Pro Services. The direct address is /services.

The Catalogue
The catalogue is grouped into six departments.
Migration
| Engagement | What you get | Typical turnaround | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website Migration | Files, databases and email moved, with a cutover and post-move checks | 1 to 2 business days | US$150.00 |
| Email Migration | Mailboxes, folders and messages moved, read and flagged states preserved, DNS records updated | 1 to 2 business days | US$120.00 |
| DNS Migration Assistance | Full record audit, zone moved, propagation monitored | 1 business day | US$60.00 |
The self-serve version of a migration is free. Moving your own website, mail or DNS costs nothing: the migration wizards in your panel are free on every plan and do the copy for you. See Email Migration: Moving Your Mail to Kapsule. The paid engagements above are for the jobs a wizard cannot finish on its own: an old provider that will not switch IMAP on or will not issue an app password, mailboxes whose connection test refuses to go green, a long list of mailboxes you would rather someone else ran and watched, or a cutover you want timed and supervised instead of doing it yourself.

Prices in KPanel are shown excluding GST, and the price shown against an engagement is the starting price for the standard scope. Where a job needs a larger scope, our team quotes it before work begins and you approve the quote. Nothing is charged above the price you agreed.
How Ordering Works
For a fixed-price engagement:
- Open
/servicesand find the engagement. - Click Order. It is added to your cart.
- Pay at checkout.
- Our team contacts you within one business day to confirm scope and begin work.
For anything that needs scoping first, the button reads Request a quote and routes you to support so a person can put a price on it.
Ordering requires the pro_services:write permission, held by account Owners and Admins. Other roles see the button locked with a note about which roles can order.
Quotes and the Accept and Pay Link
When we scope something for you, you receive a quote link. Opening it shows a single page with:
- The engagement name.
- The quoted price, labelled excluding GST where GST applies to your account.
- Link expires, counted in days.
- The scope of work we have agreed to deliver.
Two buttons: Accept and Pay adds the engagement to your cart at exactly the quoted amount and takes you to checkout, and Decline closes it with a confirmation step first.
Read the scope of work before you accept, not after. It is the definition of "done" for the engagement and it is what the sign-off step at the end is measured against. If something you expected is missing from the scope, reply and get it added before you accept rather than arguing about it later.
A quote link expires. If yours has, the page says so plainly and you need a fresh one from support.
Tracking an Engagement
Once an engagement is in flight, /services shows a Your active engagements section above the catalogue. Each row carries:
- The engagement name.
- When it was ordered, and the due date where one is set.
- A status pill: Pending, In Progress, Completed or Cancelled.
- Progress notes from the team while work is under way.
Signing Off
When we believe the work is finished, the row's status becomes Awaiting your sign-off and shows either what we did or the agreed scope, with a prompt to review it.
Review the work, then click Confirm completion. Only then does the engagement close.
Nothing closes on our say-so. An engagement sits in Awaiting your sign-off until you act on it, so if the work is not right, do not sign off: reply on the ticket and say what is missing.
Questions about any order go to support@kapsulehost.com or through a support ticket.
Pro Services or Kapsule Care?
They solve different problems and it is a common mix-up:
- Kapsule Care is ongoing maintenance on a monthly subscription: updates applied, monitoring, engineer hours that roll over, a monthly report.
- Pro Services is a defined project with a start, a scope, a price and an end.
If you keep needing the same job done, Care is cheaper. If you need one thing done properly once, Pro Services is the right shape. The Custom Site Care engagement in the Ongoing department exists for the middle ground: a site that needs bespoke ongoing attention that the standard Care tiers do not fit.
What If It Fails
"Something went wrong. Please try again." The engagement could not be added to your cart. Reload /services and try once more.
The order button is locked with a padlock. Your account role does not include pro_services:write. Ask an Owner or Admin.
"This quote is not currently available." The quote has already been accepted, declined, or was never in a payable state. Ask support for a fresh link.
"This quote link has expired." Quote links carry an expiry. Request a new one.
The price at checkout differs from the catalogue price. An accepted quote is charged at the quoted amount, not the catalogue starting price. The quote page states the figure before you accept it.
