WHAT IT COSTS TO RUN

Two numbers you already have, and the plan that covers them.

Set the space your shop takes and what it sends out in a month. The cheaper plan whose published ceilings cover both is the one you need, and the year is worked against the month beside it.

Read live from the catalog in your own currency, and the renewal is the same figure.

Nothing here is estimated

  • The ceilings are the catalog's, not an estimate
  • The year is shown against twelve months, not as a percentage
  • Both plans are one shop, both fully managed
  • Moving between them is a plan change, not a migration
WHAT YOU GET

Both plans are the same product. One of them is bigger.

There is no capability held back on the smaller plan except two, and those two are named here rather than buried in a grid of ticks you have to read across.

On both plans

  • Updates applied with a backup taken first and the shop checked afterwards
  • A staging copy of the shop, and a push to live that backs production up before it writes to it
  • Recovery to a point in time, rather than only to last night
  • An object cache, a full page cache, and the stock change purge that clears both
  • Vulnerability scanning, sign in hardening and malware quarantine
  • The checkout check every minute, and the command line if you want it

What Pro adds

Beyond capacity, exactly two things. Everything else on this page is on both plans.

ON THE LARGER PLAN ONLY
  • Two factor on the shop adminA second step on the shop sign in for the people who run it, set up from the panel rather than from a plugin you have to choose and trust.
  • The performance monitorResponse times at the median, the ninety fifth and the ninety ninth percentile, the slowest pages on the shop, and what the PHP workers are doing while they are being asked for.
THE HONEST ANSWER

I do not know how big my shop is.

Most people do not, and a calculator that asks you to guess is worse than no calculator at all. Both numbers are already written down somewhere you can reach today, and if you get it wrong the fix costs you nothing.

Where do I actually find these two numbers?

Your current host publishes both of them. Disk usage and bandwidth, or storage and transfer, usually on the front page of whatever panel they give you. Take last month's figure rather than an average.

If you are opening a shop rather than moving one, you have neither number and nobody could give them to you. Start on the smaller plan: you cannot be over a ceiling you have not reached yet.
What if I pick the wrong one?

The two plans are the same product at two sizes and both hold one shop, so moving between them changes the ceiling and the bill and nothing else. There is no export, no rebuild and no downtime.

It is a plan change, so it takes effect against your billing rather than in the second you click it.
What happens if I go over?

You get an email the same day you cross a threshold, carrying the usage and the projection for the rest of the month. Nothing is slowed quietly and nothing is billed backwards.

The ceilings on this page are the ones attached to each plan. The Fair Use Policy also carries estate wide figures, and both apply to you.

Pick the one that covers you.

Both are live in the catalog and both are one managed shop. The calculator above has already told you which of them you need.
