Kora Conversation History

Kora keeps a summary of your past conversations so it can help without making you repeat yourself, and this page is where you review that memory, rate it, and erase it.

What Kora Remembers

Kora does not carry your entire chat transcript into every new conversation. Instead, each conversation is condensed into a summary: what you were trying to do, the topics it touched, whether it ended unresolved, what language it was in, and how many actions were taken on your account.

Alongside those summaries, Kora derives durable facts from your conversations, the sort of context that stops it asking the same question every week. Both the summaries and the derived facts are what "Kora's memory" means in practice.

Conversation history is a page of its own at /kora/history. Kora itself is the floating panel available on every KPanel screen, and the conversation list inside that panel is a different thing: it lists your current threads, not the memory summaries described here.

Opening Conversation History

Go to /kora/history while signed in to KPanel. The page loads your most recent conversation summaries, newest first, with a Load more button when there are more than fit on one screen.

If you have not had a conversation with Kora yet, the page shows No conversations yet and nothing else.

Reading a Summary Card

Each card carries:

A date pill. When the conversation was summarised.
A language pill, shown only when the conversation was not in English.
An "Unresolved" pill, shown when the conversation ended without the problem being solved. This is a useful list to skim: it is a record of the things you asked about and never got to the bottom of.
The summary itself, in plain prose.
Topic tags, so you can find the conversation about DNS or about billing at a glance.
An action count, when Kora performed actions on your account during that conversation.

Rating a Conversation

Under each summary is a small prompt: Was this helpful?, with Yes and No. Rating is optional and takes one click. Once rated, the card shows Rated helpful or Rated not helpful instead of the prompt.

The No rating is the more valuable of the two. Combined with the Unresolved flag it is the clearest signal about where Kora is falling short for real customers, and it is read. If a conversation genuinely wasted your time, mark it.

Forgetting One Conversation

Every card has a Forget control in its top right corner.

Open /kora/history.
Find the conversation you want removed.
Click Forget.

The summary disappears from the list immediately, and the facts Kora derived from that conversation are deactivated at the same time. From that point Kora stops referencing it: the context is gone from future conversations, not just hidden from your view of the page.

There is no confirmation dialog on a single conversation, because the effect is narrow. Erasing everything is treated differently.

Erasing All Memory

When you have at least one summary, an Erase all memory button appears at the top right of the page.

Click Erase all memory.
A confirmation asks: Erase all Kora memory? This cannot be undone.
Click Erase all.

A green banner confirms it: All Kora memory erased. Kora will no longer reference past conversations. Every summary and every derived fact for your account is cleared in one pass.

Erasing all memory cannot be undone from KPanel. Kora starts from nothing on your next conversation: no history of your setup, no remembered preferences, no context about the problem you were working through last week. If you only want one conversation gone, use Forget on that card instead.

What Erasing Does and Does Not Cover

Worth being precise, because "erase" means different things in different products:

It does cover the conversation summaries on this page and the facts Kora derived from them. Kora will not reference them again.
It does not cover the audit record of actions Kora performed on your account. Those are a security record: they exist so you and Kapsule can both answer the question "what changed and who approved it", and they are deliberately not erasable by the assistant that made them. Review them in your account audit trail instead.
It does not undo anything Kora did. Forgetting a conversation about a DNS change does not revert the DNS change.

The page carries its own privacy note about retention and your rights under the Privacy Act 2020. For a complete removal of your personal information rather than Kora's working memory, that is an account-level request: contact us at support@kapsulehost.com.

Why You Might Want to Erase

Three honest reasons:

You handed the account over. A new owner or a new admin should not inherit a memory of the previous operator's business.
A conversation carried something sensitive. You pasted something into a chat that you would rather Kora did not carry forward.
Kora has the wrong idea. If Kora keeps making an assumption that was true six months ago and is not now, erasing the derived facts is faster than arguing it out of them.

What If It Fails

"Failed to delete history." The request did not reach the server, and nothing was erased. Reload the page and try again. If it persists, open a support ticket.

A forgotten conversation reappears after a reload. That means the delete did not complete. Try again and confirm the card is gone after a full page reload before assuming it worked.

The page is empty but you know you have talked to Kora. Summaries are written after a conversation concludes, not while it is running. A conversation you started ten minutes ago may not have been summarised yet.

Kora still seems to remember something after erasing. Check that the erase banner appeared. If it did, and Kora is still referencing old context, capture the exact reply and open a support ticket: that is a bug worth chasing, not expected behaviour.
